Producer prices in Latvia declined by 0.8% year-on-year in February 2026, after an upwardly revised 2.1% increase in January. This was the weakest reading since June 2025.

Prices in manufacturing were broadly unchanged (0.4%), as growth slowed in several key segments, including the manufacture of beverages (3.1% vs 3.2% in January), basic metals (4.7% vs 6.4%), electrical equipment (0.5% vs 1.3%), and furniture (1.5% vs 1.8%).

Meanwhile, costs fell sharply in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-8.8% vs a 6.1% increase previously). In contrast, prices continued to rise in mining and quarrying (17.6% vs 17.4%) and in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (6.3% vs 5.1%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 0.4% in February, slowing from an upwardly revised 1.5% increase in the prior month.
