In October 2025, Kazakhstan's annual inflation rate eased to 12.6%, a decline from September's three-month peak of 12.9%. This reduction was primarily driven by a significant decrease in inflation related to housing and utilities, which dropped to 11.3% from 17.4% in the previous month. Additionally, price growth slowed in several other sectors: communication (4.4% down from 7.2%), recreation and culture (reducing to 14.6% from 16.9%), and clothing and footwear (10.8%, slightly rising from 10.7%). Conversely, the cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages accelerated, reaching 13.6%, marking its highest level in over two years, up from 12.8%. There was also a notable increase in inflation for restaurants and hotels, which rose to 15.7% from 14.0%, health (18.1% up from 17.0%), and transportation (12.2% from 11.3%). On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices saw a modest increase of 0.5%, slower than the 1.1% rise observed in the previous period, and representing the smallest growth since September 2024.
