Mexico's consumer confidence index continued its decline for the second month in a row, registering at 46.1 in October 2025, following a downward revision to 46.4 in September. Households expressed increased pessimism regarding both the current (40.8 compared to 41.3) and future (46.8 compared to 47.6) state of the economy. Additionally, there was a decrease in confidence regarding their capacity for significant purchases (31.8 compared to 32.4). The measure for the anticipated household economic condition also dipped slightly (58.5 compared to 58.6), while the current household financial situation saw a marginal improvement (52.2 compared to 52). Employment prospects over the next year remain largely unchanged (47.7 compared to 47.6), but there is an expectation of slightly reduced price pressures (17.4 compared to 17.7). Compared to the previous year, the consumer confidence index was higher at 49.4.
